Five people were taken to the hospital, including two students, after a bus used to transport special needs students collided with a car on Tuesday in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County, police said.

According to police, the crash happened at around 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of Freemansburg Avenue and Washington Street.

The bus was traveling westbound on Freemansburg Avenue when it collided with the rear of a car stopped and waiting to make a left turn, police said.

The two students on the bus, a bus aide, the bus driver and the driver of the car were all taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
