MEADE, Kan. (KSNW) -- A man wanted in connection with a shooting along Interstate 70 in Missouri has been captured in southwest Kansas.

It began on Aug. 27 in Saline County, Missouri, near the junction of Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 65. The Missouri Highway Patrol says they were able to identify a Mason Mayhew, 19, of Booneville as the suspect in the case.

The following day, the Meade County Sheriff's Office in Kansas took Mayhew into custody following a traffic stop for speeding. MHP says the sheriff's office found the man in possession of multiple guns and evidence connected him back to the shooting in Missouri.
