The Santa Maria-Bonita School District school board and superintendent have been named a recipient of the prestigious 2025 LEAD Award by the California Latino School Boards Association .
The LEAD Award recognizes school districts that have demonstrated exceptional unity in leadership, serving students and families through an equity lens, and going above and beyond the call of duty.
The district's board and superintendent were recognized for their outstanding work and dedication to the community.
"We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from the CLSBA," said SMBSD Board President Linda Cordero. "This award is a testament to the collective effort of our board, administration, staff, and community in ensuring all of our students have the resources they need to succeed."
