Santa Maria Police are investigating a Friday night shooting, and asking the public for help in locating a suspect.

During the investigation into the shooting in the 500 block of East El Camino it was determined that a single victim had suffered a gunshot wound. The injury was determined to be non-life-threatening, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.

The investigation led officers to a nearby residence. A perimeter was established, and members of the Santa Maria SWAT Team, assisted by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s SWAT Team, responded to the location.
