WEYMOUTH, Massachusetts (WABI) - Prosecutors said the Portland man who was found dead in a car outside of a hospital in Massachusetts two weeks ago was strangled.

According to CBS Boston, 27-year-old Declan Perry, was found wrapped inside of a car in Weymouth on Saturday August 23rd.

A Massachusetts man, 42-year-old Christopher Caron, was arrested in connection after turning himself into police a week later.

Prosecutors said Perry had went to Caron’s condo to buy cocaine and fentanyl.

Officials said an autopsy shows that Perry did not die from a drug overdose and that he had been strangled.

Caron reportedly pleaded not guilty to murder during his arraignment on Tuesday.

He is being held without bail and will appear back in court later this month.
