SANTA CRUZ — The Santa Cruz Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Santa Cruz City Council chambers to receive a report from the Santa Cruz Police Department about recent crime statistics and hear about a department-wide training regarding domestic abuse.
The meeting will begin with a presentation from the Family Justice Center Alliance about establishing a center locally. The nationwide centers serve as a nexus for multiple agencies to provide services to victims of interpersonal violence, including intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder or dependent adult abuse, and human trafficking.
