ALBANY, Ore. – A 44-year-old Albany woman died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday evening near the interchange of Interstate 5 and Highway 34, according to the Oregon State Police.

OSP officials said that they responded shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash near milepost 10 in Linn County. A pedestrian, identified as Hollenia Ann Russell, entered the highway and was struck by a westbound Dodge Avenger driven by a 27-year-old Lebanon woman. Russell was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Dodge reportedly suffered minor injuries, OSP officials said.
