DENVER (KDVR) — What was meant to be a relaxing day at the Indian Hot Springs quickly turned into a tense police chase after a man fled from Idaho Springs police, covered in mud, and only wearing a Speedo.
On Aug. 26, Clear Creek Dispatch alerted Idaho Springs police to a suspect who was wanted in Douglas County at the Indian Hot Springs after reports of credit card fraud and stolen identification on that day.
The suspect was identified as Alec Bogus.
According to the arrest affidavit, police responded to the hot springs, where they found Bogus in a mud bath and confronted him about the alleged credit card fraud. Bogus denied the claim before the officers mentioned the warrant from Douglas County and told him that he would be going with them to jail.
