COLUMBIA, S.C. — Investigators with the Columbia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man.

Police say 48-year-old William Beason, Jr. was recently reported missing by a loved one who had not heard from him. His clothing description is not known at this time.

According to investigators, Beason is known to frequent the 6300 block of North Main Street.

Anyone who sees Beason or knows where he may be is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, submit a tip online, or dial 911.
