32 years after Robin Hood: Men In Tights , Mel Brooks is reuniting with one of the stars for Very Young Frankenstein . The upcoming series, which Brooks is executive producing, is inspired by his classic 1974 horror-comedy film Young Frankenstein , starring Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman, and Cloris Leachman.

Very Young Frankenstein is in the works at FX, with What We Do In The Shadows ' Stefani Robinson serving as showrunner and writer, Taika Waititi directing the pilot episode, and Brooks' longtime collaborator Kevin Salter executive producing.
