ALOHA Ore. (KPTV) - A monster truck driver in Aloha says this time his vehicle was the one that was crushed when his handmade truck was hit by an intoxicated driver over the weekend .

“Pure Insanity” has been in Derek “Barney” Barnum’s office for 19 years.

“This is my old hunting truck, ‘73 Dodge pickup,” he said, looking up at his “mega” truck. “I put it on the drawing board, measured it out, and I had this crazy vision.”

He built most of it by hand and shows it off at around a dozen shows a year. But now it’s out of commission.
