Odessa High won its long-awaited home opener, sweeping Alpine Tuesday in a nondistrict contest at OHS Fieldhouse.

With the win, the Lady Bronchos moved to 11-12 overall.

Odessa High won by scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-9.

“It was a good win,” Odessa High head coach Cody Dominguez said. “We’ve been on the road for quite awhile so it was good to get that first home win.”

Dominguez pointed out his team’s communication and aggressive play.

“We’ve really been trying to push on communicating and being more aggressive,” Dominguez said. “And just not allowing the other team to run the court. That’s what we’ve been working on.”

The OHS players were also excited to finally be at home for the first time this season.
