BOISE, Idaho — A Labor Day family outing at the Shoshone Ice Cave took an unexpected turn when a walkway bridge inside the cave attraction collapsed during a tour, sending multiple people into icy water. One man was airlifted to the hospital for his injuries, others sustained minor injuries.

According to Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies, they received a call around 5:47 p.m. regarding a reported bridge collapse inside the cave attraction. Initial reports suggested about 20 people were trapped and injured, but responding emergency crews determined no individuals were trapped inside.
