Ohio State came out swinging in its season opener. They pulled off a gritty 14-7 victory over the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns at the Horseshoe. The Buckeyes’ young defensive crew, guided by new coordinator Matt Patricia, certainly stepped up when it mattered most. It showed flashes of the championship pedigree they bring as defending national champs. But here’s where things get interesting at Columbus.
