ISSAQUAH, Wash. – Travelers heading to the west side of the state on I-90 should prepare for delays through Issaquah this weekend.

Starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, September 5, and continuing until 8 a.m. on Sunday, September 7, the westbound lanes will be reduced to one lane for bridge repairs, the Washington State Department of Transportation (DOT) announced .

This marks the first of four planned weekend lane reductions in September. Crews will focus on repairing three bridges from the early 1970s, replacing pavement, waterproofing and expansion joints.

Further lane closures are scheduled from September 12-14, with three right lanes closing for additional work, the DOT said. The plan includes reducing westbound I-90 to a single lane for the remaining weekends of the month, weather perm
