From day one in the job Steve Clarke had a very clear vision for the national team. ‌

He went as far as publicly stating his intention to rely on a core group of players in order to create a kind of Club Scotland. A familiar place with a family feel to it. ‌

All underpinned by players he sensed could be relied upon to turn up for duty whenever and wherever their service was required. These players laid down the foundations more than six years ago. ‌

And Clarke has rewarded that loyalty by fulfilling their dreams of representing Scotland at two major finals.
