ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

One person was taken to the hospital after officials said a truck pulling a dump trailer crashed into a tree in Elizabeth Township Tuesday afternoon.

In a post from the Lincoln Boro VFRC #1, officials assisted the Elizabeth Township Fire Department in responding to a reported vehicle accident with entrapment on Lovedale Road and Mill Hill Road shortly after 3 p.m. Advertisement

The post said a truck pulling a dump trailer "veered across the roadway and hit a tree going up a hillside on the Lincoln side of Lovedale."

Bystanders helped pull the driver out of the vehicle and provided aid until first responders arrived.

The driver was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
