SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. -- As students returned to school in Sun Prairie Tuesday, parents and community members gathered at the district as well, protesting outside of the closed session school board meeting.

Parents asked board members as they walked into the meeting to address the Sun Prairie Area School District's handling of accusations of sexual misconduct against former Sun Prairie West High School Dean of Students Robert Gilkey-Meisegeier.

"We need the board to start holding the district accountable. It wasn't their fault to start with, but now it's it's time to act," said parent protest organizer Justin Smith.
