High-caffeine energy drinks are set to be outlawed for under-16s across England in a bid to safeguard youngsters' wellbeing, ministers have announced. ‌

The sweeping prohibition will make it criminal for any retailer – whether online platforms, high street shops, eateries, cafés or vending machines – to flog energy drinks packed with more than 150mg of caffeine per litre to anyone below 16. ‌
