The New Hampshire 4,000-footer list dates back to 1931.
The original list was just 36 mountains, but has since been expanded to 48.
In July, a New Hampshire man completed all 48 of the state’s 4,000-foot mountains in just four days, 22 hours and 43 minutes.
Andrew Drummond, from Jackson, beat the previous record for the fastest known time, unsupported , on the 200-mile route by more than 14 hours.
Completing all of the 4,000-footers is a goal that thousands of people work for in their lifetimes, according to the Appalachian Mountain Club – although most don’t try to go that fast.
The shortest mountain on the list is Mount Tecumseh, at 4,003 feet, and the tallest is Mount Washington, the highest peak in New England at 6,288 feet.
