Foyles bookshop at Cabot Circus closes suddenly

A famed bookshop in Bristol has closed its doors suddenly this week. Foyles in Cabot Circus is now listed on Google as being 'permanently closed' and the official web page for the store now reads: "Foyles Bristol is now closed".

One of only seven branches for the brand - Foyles has been located in Bristol, most recently at its unit at Cabot Circus, nestled between Next and Pandora, since 2011. It was the renowned bookshop chain's first shop outside of the capital.

This week, the shop was being boxed up with a sign on the door confirming its closure. In a post to Instagram, the Foyles team announced: "Foyles Cabot Circus is now closed. We will be merging with our friends in Waterstones Galleries.
