STOUGHTON, Mass. (WWLP) - An Avon man was arrested after allegedly running from an attempted traffic stop on Monday.

The Stoughton Police Department states that on September 1st at 10:30 a.m., an officer on patrol in Stoughton Center observed a Mercedes turn from Wyman Street onto Washington Street at a high rate of speed.

The officer learned that the vehicle's registration was revoked and was able to visually confirm that 39-year-old Admar Pina of Avon, the car's registered owner, was the driver. A traffic stop was attempted; however, Pina drove off at a high rate of speed.

Pina turned onto Wentworth Avenue, then Manor Drive at an apartment complex, where he ran on foot, jumping a fence into a wooded area on Sumner Street. Stoughton Police learned a short time later that Pina had calle
