September is National Recovery Month. It is an annual observance held every year in September to raise awareness about mental health and substance use recovery. The focus of the month is promoting evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, celebrating the progress and achievements of those in recovery, and encouraging people and communities to support those struggling with addiction. Addiction is a complex and challenging disease that has affected many of our friends, neighbors and family members as well as our local community.
