Although summer begins to wrap up, wildfire season isn’t over anytime soon.
For many, it’s been an unprecedented year for wildfires in this province. According to the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA), 41 active fires are burning in the province as of Sept. 2.
Two of those fires—the Muskeg Fire and the Trail Fire—are not contained, and according to people in Île-à-la-Crosse, they just merged.
