WEST JORDAN — A man was shot and killed Tuesday, hours after barricading himself inside a West Jordan home when police responded to what was initially a domestic violence call.
Officers first arrived at the house at 1889 W. 7265 South about 4:15 p.m. after receiving reports of an argument between several people, one of whom had a gun, according to West Jordan Deputy Police Chief Jeremy Robertson. A SWAT team also responded to the scene.
Several people were able to get out of the house safely during the hours-long standoff while police attempted negotiations with the man inside.
