September 3, 2024 - The Nebraska Historical Society went back to its roots, reclaiming the name after going by History Nebraska for several years.

The agency has served as the official state archives for more than 140 years and operates a museum in Lincoln and six other historic sites across Nebraska.

The current director is is Daryl Bohac, former adjutant general for the Nebraska National Guard.
