After months of work, a new Travelodge has . The seafront , which was built on the site of a former crazy golf course off South Parade, has 80 bedrooms across six floors.

A grand opening took place on Tuesday, September 2, and Lincolnshire Live was one of the first to take a look inside. Unlike other Travelodge hotels, the hotel has its reception and cafe/bar area on the top floor, offering incredible views that you can't get anywhere else in the town.

Steve Bennett, chief property and development officer, said: "It is my privilege to be here to conduct the official opening of the Skegness hotel. It is our first hotel in the town of Skegness and it's our 10th in Lincolnshire."
