Police are treating the torching of two cars as wilful as they launch an investigation.
Two cars were engulfed in flames and another badly damaged on Niddrie Mill Crescent on Wednesday September 3.
Officers were alerted to the incident at around 4.05am and it is understood no injuries were reported.
In an image shared with Edinburgh Live, a Land Rover Evoque can be seen charred with three officers standing around it.
At this time there is not believed to be a connection between the incident and Operation Portaledge.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.05am on Wednesday, 3 September, 2025, we received a report of two cars on fire and a third damaged as a result on Niddrie Mill Crescent, Edinburgh.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
