Travis Kelce has broken his silence following his engagement to Taylor Swift.
The NFL star has shared details of his engagement on his New Heights podcast, just a week after he and the music superstar announced the happy news.
During Wednesday's episode, Travis's brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, raised the subject, saying, "Travis, we gotta talk about it," to which Travis jokingly replied, "I don't think we do."
Jason continued, "In case you missed the Instagram post heard 'round the world, Travis and Taylor are engaged! Yay!"
Travis, 35, then thanked listeners for their support following the announcement.
"That's right, that's right. And I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that's been going on," the American football star said. "It's been really fun telling everybody who I'm going to be spending the rest of my life with."
Reflecting on the past week, Travis described it as "exciting".
"Exciting, it's been awesome," he said, noting that he had recently introduced Taylor, 35, as his fiancée at a football game.
"I felt that at the game, actually," Travis continued, referring to the Cincinnati Bearcats match he and the Bad Blood hitmaker attended last week. "It was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates. So yeah, it was pretty cool."
When Jason asked his younger brother if he gets "giddy" sharing the news, he replied, "Yeah, I do. I still get giddy, exciting times."
Travis and Taylor announced their engagement on 26 August, posting a series of photos, including one of Travis down on one knee.
Elsewhere in the episode, the athlete revealed that the proposal had been completely different to his original plan.
"I once thought I would do it on water," he shared, before emphasising the importance of knowing what your partner wants.
"I would just say know your partner, know who you're doing it for and do it for the right reasons and everything else will be beautiful," Travis said.
