The Copper Basin Fire and Rescue (CBFR) squad says they want to deny a rumor that they don't want a shelter for East Polk residents.
"The suggestion that we are opposed to it is blatantly false," the volunteer rescue service said in a Facebook post . "In fact, we believe the most logical and longstanding location for this shelter is the common room of Station 1—it’s been used for this purpose in the past and remains the most practical site."

“If they need a place to stay, or if they need to just pick up some cleaning items, we have some cleanup kits available as well,” said Julia Wright with the Red Cross.
