Tij Iginla is ready to put an injury-riddled season behind him.

The Utah Mammoth prospect told NHL.com’s Tom Gulitti at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase that he is ready to begin training camp after being cleared for contact following double hip surgery last season.

Iginla, the son of former NHLer Jarome Iginla, saw his junior season cut short in December when he had the operation.

Iginla participated in the Mammoth’s development camp in July, skating in a no-contact jersey and saw his strength coming back.

“I feel good,” Iginla told reporters at the time. “Just working back and sticking to the process, but it’s going well. I’m having fun.”
