KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Dolly Parton was set to be in East Tennessee this month to announce the details of Dollywood’s newest ride, which is planned to open in 2026. In a later update, Dollywood announced that she wouldn’t be able to make the event, due to scheduling changes.

However, the event is still expected to go ahead.

Details on the new ride are scarce, but a news release from the park said the ride would be part of the park’s $500 million expansion, first revealed in 2021.

The ride reveal is planned for Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. It’ll be the first major expansion to hit the park since the Dolly Parton Experience last year.
