Organisers of a memorial walk to remember a local Middlesbrough FC legend say they are in shock after discovering their promotional banner has been removed. The banner, which was positioned facing The Leeway on the back of the wooden bin store, was created to honour the late Alan Peacock and to help raise awareness of the walk.

Despite the effort, time, and resources put into its design and production, the banner has been taken without permission, organisers say. Paul Shepherd, business development manager at MFC Foundation said: “This is not just a banner - it represents a tribute to Alan Peacock and an event that means a great deal to his family, friends, and the wider Boro community. For someone to take it is both disheartening and disrespectful.”
