UCF begins the season at the bottom of the first Big 12 power rankings.

The Knights defeated Jacksonville State, 17-1 0, last Thursday.

Arizona State, the defending Big 12 champions, is No. 1, receiving 11 of a possible 16 first-place votes from a panel of media who regularly cover the Big 12.

Iowa State picked up four first-place votes and TCU received the other after an impressive win over North Carolina.
