Police say they are following a "positive line of enquiry" after a young man was found dead in a Lanarkshire home. ‌

Scott Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene after being found injured in the Braeside Crescent area in the village of Kirkmuirhill, near Lanark. The 30-year-old was discovered after an incident in the Braeside Crescent area, around 4.45am on Wednesday, August 27. ‌

Scott was one of two men who were found injured inside a property at the scene. His death is being treated as murder following a post-mortem examination. A 35-year-old man was rushed to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment and has since been released. ‌

No arrests have yet been made but detectives said on Wednesday that they are now following a positive line of enquiry.
