A further five men have been arrested and charged by police following a protest in Aberdeen last month.

Two men, aged 37 and 39, were previously arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and appeared at the city's Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 21.

Now, five men, aged between 21 and 57, have been arrested in connection with 'inciting racial hatred' during the protest, which took place on Links Road on Saturday, August 2.

Three of the men, aged 54, 55 and 57, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 21.

A 23-year-old man also appeared at the same court on Wednesday, August 27, and a 21-year-old man was released on undertaking to appear at the Sheriff Court on Wednesday, September 10.
