MARTIN Co., Ky. (WYMT) - A Martin County man is facing charges after he was accused of assaulting a woman.

It happened on Sunday at a home in the Warfield area.

The victim reportedly told police that she was punched in the stomach and face by Kristopher Daniel Moore.

Police said the situation started when Moore was drinking alcohol, resulting in an argument.

He was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

He was charged with assault, fourth-degree dating violence (minor injury), and alcohol intoxication in a public place (first and second offense).
