Kyle Finnegan left the Detroit Tigers bullpen Wednesday afternoon at Comerica Park after warming up during the game against the New York Mets . He came into the dugout and walked into the tunnel.
Finnegan has right groin tightness, the Tigers announced. The severity of the injury is unclear.
The FanDuel Sports Network Detroit broadcast showed Finnegan throw a pitch, then kneel down to his ankles while on the bullpen mound.
Will Vest then began warming up with the Tigers leading the Mets, 3-2, in the seventh inning, with Tommy Kahnle on the mound. Vest got the final out of the inning against Juan Soto. Kerry Carpenter then hit a three-run home run in the bottom half for a 6-2 Tigers lead.
