CONNECTICUT, USA — CT Lottery announced the winners of $500,000 and $50,000 prizes Wednesday, as the Powerball jackpot increased to $1.4 billion .

A Berlin husband and wife won a $500,000 prize after buying a $4 million Fortune scratch game at the South Windsor Pride Convenience Store on John Fitch Boulevard.

A New Haven man won a $50,000 prize playing Powerball after purchasing a ticket at the ShopRite on Foxon Road in East Haven.

According to a CT Lottery spokesperson, the Berlin couple bought the $4 million scratch game using a few dollars that they won from playing the Powerball.
