The Gallagher brothers have hired legal specialists as they ramp up a feud with online fashion brand Oasis.
Noel and Liam are now represented by Beck Greener, the legal firm that represented drag queen Paul O'Grady when a brewery tried to name a beer after his alter ego, Lily Savage.
The brothers have been branded "free riders" by the retailer, after the pair applied to trademark the band's logo.
Former high street giant Oasis, which shut all its stores after falling into administration in 2020, said in legal documents that the band "would obtain an unfair advantage by virtue of free-riding on the reputation of the opponent's trademark, thereby potentially increasing sales of its goods".
The clothing outlet, which is now online only, says the band's logo is "identical" to theirs, and they are opposing the move.
A source told the Sun newspaper that the Oasis rock stars aren't backing down.
"Their teams are confident and think they will be successful. If, after the period of mediation there is no resolution, the case will go to a tribunal."
The Gallaghers applied for the trademark with the Intellectual Property Office earlier this year.
They want to use the logo - featuring Oasis in white lettering on a black background - on a range of goods including clothes, toys, cosmetics and jewellery.
Meanwhile, the Oasis comeback tour continues with two shows in Los Angeles this weekend.
