Authorities in Michigan arrested a man one day after a woman and her 12-year-old son were found slain in their home.

The victims, identified as 41-year-old Linda Hill and Kardi Jackson, were found dead with traumatic injuries in a Hazel Park, Mich., home, in the late afternoon on Monday, Sept. 1, local police said in a statement .

On Tuesday evening, Sept. 2, Hazel Park police and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect from nearby Pontiac while executing a search warrant, per the statement.
