BOZEMAN — As Dan Jackson reflected on previous trips to Bozeman, one immediately came to mind.
Jackson, who’s in his first season as South Dakota State head football coach, was SDSU’s cornerbacks coach in 2014. The Jackrabbits played at Montana State on Nov. 29 of that year in the first round of the FCS playoffs.
When SDSU went through its walk-through that Saturday morning, it was about 50 degrees in Bozeman. Then a snow storm rolled through, and the temperature plummeted to 2 degrees by the 2 p.m. kickoff.
Despite the weather, Jackson remembers that game fondly. The 324 yards (252 rushing) and five touchdowns from future NFL running back Zach Zenner led the Jacks to a 47-40 win.
Jackson will make his sixth trip to Bobcat Stadium on Saturday night, when No. 3-ranked MSU (0-1) hosts
