TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — A Troup County wife is now facing a murder charge , after her husband died Tuesday weeks after he was shot in the head.

According to the Troup County Sheriff's Office, Tracy White is accused in the August 11 shooting of 47-year-old Dawendall White.

The sheriff's office posted an update Wednesday , saying they were informed a day prior that White died in the hospital, where he'd been since the shooting.

Tracy White, 48, was taken into custody in Lee County, Alabama, after the shooting. The sheriff's office said she was previously arrested in July on a family violence/aggravated assault charge and her additional charges now include aggravated stalking and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
