The Lompoc Valley football teams are the only area high school football squads that are 2-0 at this point in the season.

One of them, Cabrillo, has a bye. The other, Lompoc, will be at Righetti in a non-league game Friday at 7 p.m.

St. Joseph posted a shutout win at Fresno Edison last week and will try to keep its mojo going at traditionally tough Hanford Thursday. Nipomo, fresh off a 42-0 fourth quarter in a 49-21 win at Righetti, will host Pioneer Valley in a non-league game Friday. The teams played to a draw last year.
