WEST FARGO — North Dakota isn’t known as a hotbed for elite volleyball talent, but one player from West Fargo is hoping to change that. University of Maryland commit Raina Chwialkowski is out to prove great volleyball players can come from anywhere.
"You don't have to play for the biggest club out there," Chwialkowski said. "You don't have to play in the top division to be recruited to a high level college."
Chwialkowski is from a volleyball family. Her sister Darian played volleyball at UND and her other sister Nadia played at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
“I wanted to be just like them. I've been peppering with some of the parents at their tournaments since I was just five, so I've always wanted to do it," Chwialkowski explained.
