A judge ruled that there will be no federal protection for PSEG surveyors, the group behind the controversial power line project in Maryland.
The workers said they have faced hostile property owners and have been unable to do their jobs in some cases.
Court records indicate four of the six property owners in the filing for the U.S. Marshals Service escorts have agreed to provide access. Two of the six did not respond, and now face contempt proceedings and/or sanctions.
An earlier federal court order granted PSEG permission to conduct land surveys on private property to map out a route for the electric transmission line.

The judge took issue with landowners defying the federal court order, and the judge is now holding them responsible for the
