Dudley Council planners are set to rule on a proposal for new homes on a former Mitsubishi dealership near Halesowen.

The council has received an application for a mix of terraced and semi-detached houses for the site on Halesowen Road.

The former car dealership, next to Quinton Cemetery, has already been demolished in preparation for development.

While some investigation into possible contamination of the ground from its former use as a filling station has already taken place, the council's Land Contamination Team say further work is needed.

The team's report on the application said: "The applicant should be aware of the wider investigation requirement for a potential residential development and investigation undertaken accordingly."
