Two western Kentucky families — one in Princeton and another in Mayfield — were presented keys to new homes Tuesday. The homes went to people devastated by tornadoes in December 2021.

Gov. Andy Beshear, as well as local officials and representatives in those communities, gathered as The Hope Initiative dedicated the homes. The Hope Initiative is a nonprofit partner which has helped construct 55 new homes in Mayfield. This was the first home by The Hope Initiative in Princeton, but four more are in the works.
