WHITEFISH — Behind Karlee Brown’s 82, the Whitefish Bulldogs won the girls team title at their own Whitefish Invitational golf tournament Wednesday.

Polson’s Max Milton shot a 6-under 65 to claim boys medalist honors, though the Pirates finished second to Corvallis in the team race.

Brown, the girls medalist, was one of three Bulldogs among the top eight girls: Rhylee Scott was third at 87 (Hamilton’s Cameron Burnett was second at 82), and Ava Zignego was one of three golfers tied for sixth at 99 at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.

Caroline Owens tied for 11th as well and Whitefish won the team title by 28 strokes over Hamilton. Polson was third at 416.

Other top finishers included Polson’s Madi Lake, fourth at 91; Polson’s Johanna Bieber and Bigfork’s Keegan Campbell shot 99 with Zignego.
