A serious incident unfolded outside Victoria Station this morning when a double-decker bus crashed shortly after 8am. Emergency services swiftly arrived at the scene on Victoria Street, where both passengers and pedestrians were taken to hospital following the collision.
The crash prompted police to close Victoria Street to traffic at around 8.20am. A cordon has been established between Wilton Road and Buckingham Palace Road as firefighters, paramedics, and police officers work to manage the situation. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a bus with a smashed windscreen, which appeared to have mounted the pavement.
As a result of the incident, Transport for London has diverted a dozen bus routes in the area. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for further details regarding the injuries and the circumstances surrounding the crash.
